Equine Training
Imagine Dream Believe Create
This site is designed by Tamara Badcock for horse enthusiasts around the world. Where you can learn about different training techniques designed for the benefits of your horse. If you are just starting out or the determined competitor. I am a Equestrian Australia General Level 1, I also have my Certificate IV in Sport Coaching Equestrian. I have been training horses and working with riders for the last 17 years to help them develop and understand there horse or pony; to get the results they are after. I conduct most of my lessons in Adelaide, from South to North. I will also travel out to One Tree Hill for Clinics and Group lessons. I have been teaching people from learning how to rise trot to competing 'B' Grade Show Jumping, and low levels Pony Club and EA Eventing. I have also taken a few riders from the start of there journey to competing in the Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney Royal.
Thank you for visiting Equine Training.
“Every horse has a purpose in life it is up to us to listen to what they say, to help develop and nurture their ability”.
When training we have to remember our Equine (horse) friend is a herbivore, which tells us there natural responds is flight; to run away from the object that can do harm. As a rider and your horse’s companion, you need to be mindful of this and respect the horse that allows us to sit on their back.
When training a horse we need to be able to ask a horse to do a movement, instead of demanding him. When we ask a horse he will stay supple and relaxed and will learn more efficient.
A favourite poem –
Riding is a partnership. The horse lends you his strength, speed and grace, which are greater than yours. For your part you give him your guidance, intelligence and understanding, which are greater than his.
Together you can achieve a richness that alone neither can.
